Tim Armstrong is the Grammy Award-winning founder of the U.S. punk band Rancid. He is also known for his producing skills alongside creating his own indie record label. The Hellcat is Tim's signature guitar, based on his own '60s Fender acoustic guitar. The Hellcat features modern appointments to give it a distinct look that will stand out from the crowd, including "Hellcat" and double-skull fingerboard inlays, 4-ply pickguard, classic white body binding, distinct headstock inlay design, and Tim's signature on the truss rod cover.

The Tim Armstrong Hellcat has a solid mahogany top that is supported with scalloped X-bracing. This gives a warm sound, with the thinner bracing providing enhanced resonance and tonal nuance. The back and sides of the body are constructed from laminated mahogany for increased warmth and solid projection, while the neck is crafted from maple which adds brightness and resonance.

The Tim Armstrong Hellcat has a satin finish on the body and neck for a tactile feel and enhanced resonance. The neck has a comfortable 'C' profile and is mounted with vintage-style frets for a smooth playing action. The Graph Tech Nubone saddle is compensated for accurate intonation and, along with the NuBone nut, provides stable and reliable tuning.
